Exactly as promised. Worked out of the box, no hassles, clamped onto my wifi and that was the total install.
Whether you love or hate the interface is personal - for those who don’t love love there is a version of Ubuntu - eeebuntu - tailored to this machine - as of 10-15-08 it still had one or two kinks.
My only con: keys are tiny tiny tiny - especially if your hands aren’t. I don’t plan on doing any major writing on the 901 so it’s a small point to me. If I was going to do a lot of keyboarding, I think I would look at the Acer or Dell netbooks.
Other than than, the Eee PC 901 is my pick.
